The planned resurfacing of Sections 1 & 2 of Principe de Paz that was approved by the Landowners at the Annual Meeting in October 2017 is scheduled for the week of September 17, weather permitting.
Roadside mowing has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 5 and 6, weather permitting, in preparation for the resurfacing project scheduled for the week beginning September 17. We regret the need to mow when the wildflowers are in bloom, however, we have very tall vegetation with grass and flowers producing a good seed crop that mowing will distribute to the road shoulders with long term benefits.
The road resurfacing work area will extend from the intersection of Hijo de Dios to the intersection of Pan de Vida. The work will be performed on one lane at a time and flagmen will be present to safely direct traffic. Work is planned to begin at 7:30 am and end at 5:00 pm each day. As the resurfacing work passes private driveway intersections, there will be up to a twenty to thirty minute window that vehicles will not be able to exit or enter the driveways as the new pavement cools from 300 degrees and is compressed. As a result, residents are encouraged to be aware of the work progress as it nears their residence and plan their needs to leave or return to their residences accordingly.
During the resurfacing process, there will be workers and machinery on the road and extra vehicle driver caution will be necessary to protect their safety. Your cooperation in observing all safety signage and flagman direction will be appreciated. PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY during the mowing and resurfacing projects. The Ridges Board and Roads Committee thank you in advance for your support and cooperation in completing this important project.
